Rodent Records Presents
Blame Game
A post-protest multimedia event.
Saturday, September 24,2005

ABSOLUTION & FORGIVENESS FOLLOW BLAME
If you were there, you know it was a frenzy of ruthless finger-pointing and rampant blaming at the Rodent Records Blame Game Party Sept. 24. Hal Pearlman, Master of Ceremonies, took us on a transformative journey of consciousness--moving through blaming those around us, then those not around us, and finally, to ultimately, blaming ourselves. The show’s plethora of art, music & live bellydancing, however, offered a soothing absolution and forgiveness for all. You too can take part the experience—check out live recordings of the show, fresh from the Rodent Records Studio, with The Hobbyists, Chantigs and Midnight Bombers, with commentary by Hal Pearlman & Rod Lighting.

In what promises to be an unparalleled display of art and music for both church and caboose, Rodent Records presents “Blame Game,” a multimedia post-protest event. The party will take place on Saturday, September 24th, 2005 at Rodent Records, featuring a wine and cheese art gallery reception from 5pm-8pm, followed by both DJ and live music into the night. Suggested donation for admission is $5-$10. Beverages and food will be available for purchase.

Finger-pointing will be encouraged.

Master of Ceremonies:
Hal Pearlman
Our master of ceremonies, well-versed in the arts of “blame” “finger-pointing” and ultimately “judgement” is none other than the famed, Hal Pearlman. Hal is well known to lovers of The Clap Band, The Pirate Band, Amazon Mollies and Natural Fonzie, with his merciless wit and love of pudding. He’ll take us all on a journey with a gentle, but firm hand.

Gallery Exhibits
The evening will begin with an opening reception for the artists currently exhibiting in the Rodent Records Gallery, from 5pm-8pm. New to our gallery will be the works of Andrew Leone, Nancy Hall and their god daughter Nizhoni Ellenwood. The three have been making art together and seperately for 20 plus years. Andrew's iconic paintings and prints are full of life and questions, Nancy's kinetic assembleges are like something out of a weird old arcade, and Nizhoni's dark and moody photography/sculpture explore youth culture and self image; a family act you should see. We will also have a wide array of new works on display from our resident artists China Tamblyn, Greg Turner, Jenny Hynes, and James Lovekin.

Featured Artists:
Nancy Hall
Andrew Leone
Nizhoni Ellenwood

Resident Artists:

Mike & Jennifer Valenzuela

Live Music:
A messy palette of live music will follow the gallery reception. Rodent Records artists, Chantigs and Midnight Bombers will headline the show. Chantigs will serve up their own brand of hootenanny avant-pop farrago. Later, the Midnight Bombers will take the stage, playing the kind of classic hardcore that gives you a rush and causes you to jump into the pit, all while thinking, "I'm to old for this shit!" Opening the show will be Jeanine Garrafalo’s favorite “when hobos wore top-hats” duo, The Hobbyists.
